What is beaujolais nouveau ?
I`ll Drink to That
Beaujolais Nouveau is a red wine made from Gamay grapes. It
is produced in the Beaujolais region of France. It is also
the first Beaujolais wine of the harvest and is always released
the third Thursday of November. It is also one of the few
grapes that is mandatorily picked by hand.
How to Serve Beaujolais Nouveau
Unlike most red wines, this wine should be served on the
cool side at about 55 degrees Fahrenheit. This is a few
degrees warmer than just coming out of the refrigerator. You
can also take the bottle and put it in a buck with water and a
few ice cubes. You want it to be chilled not cold.
