Typically, your guide will take you to both Sonoma and Napa Valleys, and visit four to six boutique wineries that are less frequently visited by tourists. Requests for favorite wineries will be considered within reason and distance constraints, so you can help plan the trip.

Napa Valley Wine Country Day Trip and Alcatraz Tour

Visit two of San Francisco's most popular attractions in one day - Alcatraz and the Napa Valley wineries. After a relaxing morning of wine tasting and a picnic lunch, return to San Francisco to explore notorious Alcatraz prison.

Taste premier Cabernet Sauvignons, Cabernet Francs, Pinot Noirs as well as reserve bruts from the best known wineries in Napa. Winery visits include Domaine Chandon (sparkling), Andretti Winery, V. Sattui and Rutherford Ranch. You will receive a ticket for the following day to visit the famous island of Alcatraz.

The combination of a medium sized group (up to 40 maximum) and a separate driver and tour guide, will give you plenty of opportunity to ask questions during the day. During the ride to Napa, your guide will give you an introduction to the famous region and the wines you may taste today. Your guide will also provide 101 instruction on wine tasting.
